Please & Thank you

Whether you are a person
of religious beliefs  or not,
being kind to others should
be a part of your daily practice.
Whether you believe in
Heaven and Hell, or not,
wouldn't it be a better world
to live in here and now if we were
all striving to make it so?
Please and Thank you's are
things of the past it seems.
Why not be a part of a
revolution and help bring them back?

Hebrews 13:2
Be not forgetful
to entertain strangers:
for thereby some have
entertained angels unaware.

Someone Very Small Who Walks Very Tall

Most of you know I drive a school bus; I try to work as many hours as they will allow me to, because I have a child in Marching Band, and ...well need I say more? I have not had a lot of time off this summer; But the current summer route I am driving has s little something different I would like to share with you.  You see I have a tendency to really fall in love with the children on my routes. They become my own little family of sorts. Yeah I know some of you may find that a little strange, but I am one of the people they classify as "eccentric" so as not to hurt my feelings when they classify me as strange...lol.  Anyway, todays story is about Someone Very Small Who Walks Very Tall.

There are only 8 children on this particular route.  Each of them as unique as the next but all alike in ways as well. One child in particular  will not sit down, one of my pet peeves on the bus is that you sit and remain seated at all times.  I can say sit down 100 times and if I look up one second after saying it , yup you guessed it, he is standing again.
This causes a dilema for me, oh I know that you are probably thinking, Driver distractions, or perhaps I should not worry so much about this habit for this short summertime route. However, my dilema is more personal that that. You see this child has always ridden the Special needs bus. I have volunteered in the school and watched this child from a distance as he has grown and blossomed from one with a walker and leg braces, to just the braces, to walking on his own, reguardless of how wobbly, to his first time as a rider on a "Big bus".
So you see telling someone who has never been able to stand on their own accord, to sit down, well it makes me cringe every time I say it. It is my duty as a School bus driver to keep him safe, and to make him sit, and that is exactly what I do, however, telling him to sit down tears a little at my heart.

May God Richly Bless You,
And may your days be filled
With  the love and laughter of
People you care about.
May you remember to Pray,
Not just for your own needs,
But for the needs of others as well.
And Remember that the best way to
Defeat the Devil is to "Love One Another"

Happenings

Life happens...Right? Lately it seems that life happens too much...lol. There is so much going on I would not know where to begin to tell all of the things going on. I won't even try. Just felt like posting a few words. I wanted to encourage everyone by saying that no matter what happens, no matter how hard life gets, Hang in there. Sometimes we go through trials to make us stronger for the next ones. Sometimes we are simply "In training". So hang on to your hat, tighten your grip on the reins, Hold you feet firmly in the stirrups, and sit tight in the saddle, for the Bible teaches "This to, shall pass". Just think about all the things you have struggled with in the past. And how much better you always come out on the other side. Remember that you always have a friend in Jesus,  and even if you have never spoken to him before, He will hear you when you cry out to him. Bear your soul to him and ask for forgiveness if need be. But lean on him, for he is strong and will not let you down.
He knows before you tell him anyway, he just wants you to come to him.

Happy St. Patrick's Day tomorrow!!!

God Bless You All, and Keep You Safe!!!!

Job and Mud puddles

For any who are not aware, My husband is a preacher. Not an educated, ordained preacher, but a Spiritual man of God. He was a good man before he was called upon by God to do this work. And I loved him long before the call. But I have watched him grow, and we have grown together. Our children were very opposed to him being a preacher at first. They told him to make God take it back.

Last night he preached a sermon at Olive Hill Missionary Baptist Church, one of our Sister Churches. He is always a little nervous. And usually pretty much short and simply spoken. But very much to the point in his sermons. Last nights sermon was memorable. He read about a man who was under satan's spell in every way this world could put him there, yet he remained faithful to God. He was tried to the highest degrees, and remained steadfast. Was a very nice sermon he delivered. And as always I was proud of the stand he'd made. But just before he finished, he started jumping as if there were mud puddles all around him. And he said that when the kids were little, I let them jump in puddles, and I even jumped with them, while he fussed at us for doing so. Sometimes it  would splash up on him and make him a little mad at us. Then he jumped another time or two and said, he wanted to jump into the puddles of the holy spirit and splash the feelings that come with that all over everyone there.  Everyone should feel the love, and devotion, and safe feelings that God delivers through his spirit. He jumped another time or two. And talked about when he got saved he felt that feeling from his head to his toes. He didn't say Job jumped in mud puddles, but I imagine he felt bathed in the love of God and in the comforting arms of a savior who would die for him. How else could you explain the faith Job had throughout his ordeal?
I am so proud of my husband. I know he is mine and I am his. And I know we were meant to be, by a power and authority capible of salvation, love, forgiveness, and all while lookin upon our sinful, worldly ways, and saying "I forgive you my child"
GOD IS SO GOOD TO ME!
Tho I am not always so good to him, he remains the greatest portion in my life!
God Bless you all, and if you do not know his love and salvation, May you feel the lead to get to know him.

Just Scream

Sometimes, you just wanna scream.
Go ahead. I mean why not?
Well, maybe not if you're in a building with people,
Working or attending class, or worse yet, church.
( That one Made ya smile).
But why not scream? Who will it hurt? Will it make ya feel better?
Sure it will.
When my children were little... I used to go get into my car...shut the doors with the windows up...and scream til I felt better!
And you know what?
IT WORKED!!!
AND It was the cheapest form of therapy I could find , it really did help.
So my advice is to scream your head off, yell your lungs free of carbon monixide, give in to the feeling and go with it!  Be careful not to hurt yourself. Then compose yourself and walk back into the lions den that sent you out there in the first place and face it head on! You are well equipped now with a clear mind and lungs!

God Bless You and Enjoy your Scream!

When things go wrong,
and we all know they do.
And it seems as if,
It's the world, against you.
Hold on tight,
For the ride of your life.
Hang in there,
Cuz after the strife;
There's a rainbow waiting,
On the other side.
Just watch and wait,
With your eyes opened wide.
The Lord's still looking,
To see what you do.
How you will handle,
What you're going through.
So sit tight in your saddle.
Hold on to the reign,
If you do what's right,
You have Heaven to gain!

Changing Your World

Changing Your World

How will the world be different tomorrow,
because of things you have done today?

Are there things you can do that will change
your future or the futures of those around you?

Would you be willing to do those things?

Would they change things for the
better or for the worse?

Would you be proud to be a part
of those changes?

Are those changes something your
children will be proud of you for?

What can you do to make those changes even better?

What are you waiting for?

Make some changes! New Year New You!!!!

Praise the Lord and Be Blessed My Friends.
